Controls Engineer

Description:
Duties involve contributing to machine concepts, design of control software, integration of software with electrical and mechanical systems, process development and machine installation at customer sites worldwide. Programming and integration assignments involve leading-edge technologies and processes utilizing PLC’s, PC’s, robotics, motion controllers, vision systems, laser and other controllers.

Responsibilities

Design, program and debug control systems for assembly and test equipment

Modify/retrofit existing systems

Communicate and interact with customers and suppliers

Manage projects within cost and time constraints

Communicate to Lead CE

Requirements

Minimum 4 years’ experience with machine controls

Strong knowledge of PLC’s (AB a must, prefer a combination of AB & Siemens)

Knowledge of Robotics and motion control a plus

Experience with HMI’s

Experience with AutoCAD preferred
