Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Level 3) in the Training Systems Engineering team based in St. Louis, MO. Part of the Systems Architecture, Design, Integration and Test (SADIT) team, responsible for development of the Integrated, Live, Virtual and Constructive (ILVC) Training Solution.
Early development of a new modeling and simulation product that supports advanced fighter pilot training systems. The ILVC solution integrates live fighter aircraft with ground based air crew training devices along with constructive entities.
Will be responsible for full life-cycle system development. You will have a hand in defining the requirements; designing, implementing and testing the solution; and supporting these products through delivery and in the field. You will develop system requirements, design solutions and support system integration and test. This includes understanding LVC technologies and their integration with vehicles, simulators, and constructive simulations. You will work with customer, Boeing and partner organizations to develop new solutions and demonstrate our growing LVC capability. The successful candidate will have the ability to collaborate with multiple partners to develop technical solutions and establish the associated plans and proposals.
The ILVC SE will:
* Apply their experience with multi-system/subsystem integration to develop our LVC solutions
* Apply their background in simulation and modeling and aircraft avionics to optimize the LVC solution architecture
* Develop technical plans
* Develop estimates and support proposals
* Develop execution plans
* Coordinate integration and test events

Requirements (must have to be qualified.)
-5 years experience developing and managing system and subsystem level requirements.
-5 years experience conducting requirement and functional analyses to derive and flow down requirements.
-5 years experience designing, integrating and testing components, subsystems and systems.
-5 years experience developing verification requirements, verification plans and test procedures.

Assets (Preferred/ nice to have. Lacking does not disqualify.)
Experience with system designs, including software systems.
Experience in modeling and simulation.
Experience with aircraft avionics integration.
Experience with DoD open systems architecture development and system interface standards.
Experience working with a requirements database such as DOORS or TcSE.
Experience with Configuration Management/Data Management.
Experience identifying and managing Risk, Issues and Opportunities (RIO).

Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
