System Safety Engineer

Description:
Support program level systems safety engineering activities including fault tolerance, failure mode, and hazard analysis.
o Support configuration design studies and develop solutions while being cognizant of flight element operational constraints
o Support systems analysis with a cross-functional mindset to support system level architectural decisions
o Identify opportunities for safety improvements and operational cost savings
o Monitor critical component and integrated vehicle testing, and data analysis processes
o Provide leadership to maintain company work cultures that support safety and mission assurance
o Experience with flight systems, airworthiness, fault protection design and fault analyses
o Experience with fault protection and system autonomy software design
o Experience with spacecraft system engineering and subsystem requirements development process
o Experience with reliability analysis and probabilistic risk assessments
o Experience with coordinating design efforts with multiple partners and vendors
o Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
o Experience leading tasks and coordinating working groups on large-scale projects in system development, test, and/or operations.
