Structural / Stress Engineer (Aerospace Structural Design)

Description:
The ideal candidate must:
• Create detail Finite Element Models of complicated assemblies
• Understand proper application of boundary conditions and areas that need increased mesh densities
• Work with designers and deliver stress plot for various load conditions for all the components in the assembly (as needed)
• Be proficient in NASTRAN and Patran
• Be knowledgeable of:
o Aerospace Structural Design,
o Stress and Load combination techniques,
o factors of safety,
o margins of safety, and
o Aerospace Bolt calculations.
• Additional software skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Mathcad calculation methods.

This assignment will be focused on preparing Aerospace Stress Reports for components designed for NASA's Orion Space Capsule
