Quality Compliance Specialist (Aerospace)

Description:
The Quality organization is looking for a Compliance Specialist to support the Quality Clinic Process and provide Quality Support. This Specialist will work with various departments to satisfy our customers by managing escapes and internal nonconformances and provide customer support. The Quality Clinic is responsible for RRCA and supporting investigations in various processes. The Quality Clinic ensures the containment and RRCA is accomplished in a fast-paced high visibility environment. The ideal candidate is one that has high energy, has excellent organizational, technical and analytical skills, can work well with others and can manage by influence. This position will report to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities include: •Prepare, maintain and follow quality clinic standard work and maintain clinic certifications.
•Track and publish quality clinic metrics.
•Perform Escape Management process to determine root cause, identify robust corrective actions and track effectiveness.
•Support Customer Return process for returned material.
•Facilitate and coach operations resolution escapes teams and Relentless Root Cause (RRCA) teams for high pain organizational issues (Cost, delivery, quality, EH&S, etc.)
•Manage and track effectiveness of corrective action requests
•Support product and process improvements that ensure quality metric goals are met (Escapes, Scrap, Rework and Repair).
•Utilize continuous improvement and lean tools to support process enhancements.
•Foster and maintain a cooperative relationship with our key regulatory customers. (FAA & DCMA)
•Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the use of ACE tools.
•Support the Receiving Inspection process and work with buyers and supplier quality team to ensure RRCA of supplier nonconformance.

The successful candidate should have: •At least 4 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing and/or Engineering with a minimum of 2 years in the Aerospace industry.
•Excellent RRCA skill set with demonstrated ability to lead and coach others on RRCA.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to facilitate and motivate teams.
•An understanding of Quality Procedures, Quality Management Systems and the Product Recall process.
•Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and external customers (DCMA, FAA).
•Experience in using ACE tools to make process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
•ACE Associate (Lead QCPC/VSM/3P activities)
•Experience in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Past experience in an Operations or Manufacturing company preferred.
