PDS Tech is looking for a technical recruiter to staff various automotive skill sets in Birmingham, Al.  This position requires at least 50% on-site either at the client location or our Birmingham office.  Some remote recruiting is an option for this position.   
  • Support all openings for assemblers, engineering, and business professional skill sets at client location.
  • Create and post job descriptions via career websites, newspapers and universities boards
  • Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives
  • Source applicable candidates by using corporate databases as well as social media sources such as LinkedIn
  • Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters in accordance with the company processes and procedures
  • Match the job description requirements with the applicant’s profile and create a shortlist of submittals
  • Identify and implement recruiting tools supporting the screening process and verification of skill sets
  • Schedule prepare and document phone, Skype and/or in-person interviews
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires in corporate CRM (eg. Salesforce)
  • Contact potential new employees and set up pre-employment process in accord with human resources
  • Coordinate and schedule potential new hires for pre-employment verification
  • Schedule potential new hires for the company orientation
  • Coordinate and schedule badging/on-site handoff in accord with the on-site managers
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Plan, establish, create, promote and attend job fairs and career events as needed
  • Create and prepare a weekly recruiting status reports (open position vs. filled positions; 12 weeks forecast for existing projects)
  • Expected to prioritize and complete projects within given deadline



  • Proven track record as a Recruiting or staffer in the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experienced with Salesforce or similar ATS
  • Knowledgeable in HR policies and best practices
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks

Minimum requirements

  • 2 years of recruiting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Application (Excel, PowerPoint, Word),
  • Strong communication skills and problem solving
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changing demand, detail oriented and a strong work ethic.
  • Team player

Preferred requirements

  • Experience with Salesforce
