2019-8923 Satellite Space Technician

Our client, a global security and aerospace company, is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. Solving complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions to help customers keep people safe and provide them essential services, our client is hiring for the following critical need:

Satellite Space Technician
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Fort Bragg, NC

• Conduct mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases.
• Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites.
• Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
• Provide failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data.
• Utilize system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements.
• Analyze and validate software performance.
• Perform flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.

• TS with SCI eligibility required, no exceptions.
• This position supports a 5/40 work schedule.
• Required: familiarity with many facets of national space capabilities.
• Understand basic space operations with desired experience in controlling of satellites.
• Familiar with constellations used by DOD and process for support request.
• Familiar with commercial satellite services.
• Knowledge of DOD satellite health.
• Able to leverage satellite services.
• Working knowledge of assisting with Space request for information processes.
• Knowledge of spectrum deconfliction requirements for utilizing satellites.
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree combined with 6+ years of experience; Master’s Degree combined with 4+ years of experience.
