Quality Engineer
(US Citizenship Required*)
Rochester Hills, MI

• Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products
• Design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products
• Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary
• Review Documents/Drawings/Instructions for conformance to requirements
• Compare defects against standards and recommends dispositions, and verifies implementation of rework
• Collect, organize and analyze project data, generates and/or reviews metrics
• Perform audits, assign corrective action, and verify implementation
• Participate in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews, technical peer reviews
• Verify compliance to defined requirements
• Witness and or monitor test activities
• Receive detailed instructions from immediate supervisor
• Generally works within an identified work group
• Interface with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and other quality personnel
• Some contact with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality departments
• Work on problems of limited scope
• Work as an individual technical contributor on one project or on assigned tasks on multiple projects

• Working knowledge of engineering (i.e., software, electrical, systems, etc) methodologies, tools, and standards
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, CMMI, ISO 14001ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Written and verbal communications skills
• Creative thinker
• Able to clearly recognize and report information relevant to sound quality engineering design
• Working knowledge of interpretation of drawings
• Skill in reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements techniques
• Skill in reporting quality activities, findings, and issues both in writing and verbally
• Interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques
• Computer skills, both desktop software and required factory or engineering tools
*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Entry level quality engineer
