Sr. Avionics Integration & Test Engineer

Location: Huntsville, AL
Pay Range: DOE
Job Type: 9 Month Contract
Schedule: First Shift

**Looking for individuals who can lead on developing Integration and Test plans for embedded control of actuators and/or similar hardware. Looking for someone to work in the lab who will be doing integration & test with a junior electrical engineer**

FROM MANAGER:
-Looking for Electrical Engineers with experience in testing actuators and pressure transducers in an embedded control environment.
-Need direct experience with actuators.
-Candidates should have developed test plans from and seen execution to completion
-Does not have to have Aerospace experience if the meet the requirements
-Will probably extend well into 2023

Duties:
-50% - Provide on-site Integration and Test support engineering.
-30% - Coordinate with off-site Operations personnel and hardware engineers.
-15% - Remote support of troubleshooting on flight hardware and test equipment.
-10% - Travel for support of hot-fire testing, etc.

Skills:
-At least 5 years of experience supporting aerospace and defense development programs or industries requiring similar process rigor
-Experience in use of computer aided design and analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite
-Microsoft Project proficiency is a plus

Key responsibilities
-Plan and/or perform system integration and test activities in support of missile system avionics
-Huntsville laboratory and off-site hot-fire testing facilities
-Provide technical leadership to junior engineers
-Liaison with Program Management as well as off-site Operations and Engineering organizations
-Provide technical knowledge to Supplier Management

Key attributes needed for this position:
Desired or equivalent experience with:
-Developing Integration and Test Plans for embedded control of actuators and/or similar hardware.
-Knowledge of DSP-based embedded control systems are a plus
-Mixed analog/digital circuits design and analysis
-National Instruments cDAQ and cRIO systems
-Serial data links (e.g.; RS-422, Serial Peripheral Interface, etc.)
-Knowledge of Electrical initiation systems for solid propellant propulsion systems are a plus
-Pressure Transducers
-Solenoid Driver Circuits
-Knowledge of Python Programming Language, 'c', and MATLAB is a plus
-General purpose test equipment experience (meters, scopes, power supplies, etc.)
-Ability to understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
-Good oral and written communication skills
-Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-Data analysis skills

Education:
-BS degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering
-5+ years of related experience.
