What You’ll Do:

Lead, develop, maintain and release electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards for multiple customers.
Manage, interpret and develop design requirements.
Use design tools to document and maintain configuration design control.
Manage, create, develop and maintain complex systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and integrating systems elements.
Validate complex engineering system design and functionality.
Lead the process for product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to complex.
Coordinate activities and products with cross-functional groups, internal partners and external suppliers.
Review and assign work to others.
Work under minimal direction.
Support design, build and test of an Flight Instrumentation Test Aid Rack (DTAR/EDTAR) to stimulate/simulate, and collect data from the sensors; and the fabrication of a software development test aid rack (BESSR) build to internal company sketches.
Perform design (visio cad/autocad/maybe some CREO) to include mechanical layout, connection interface diagrams, Signal Matrix/Matrices, details Parts Lists), and build (hands-on) and Checkout operations of the computing/communication assets supporting the Ground System, Flight Systems and Test stakeholders.
Supplement the company team (Responsible engineer and Architect) to design/build/checkout the products.
Create/update drawings of equipment layouts/assembly/ and interconnect diagrams
Create/update work instructions/Standard operating procedures that meet the AIL Operations Plan and internal company CM procedures; Troubleshoot communication issues that may be attributed to HW, isolate issue to HW, or combination of HW and SW; compiles data from multiple sources and performs analysis and create resolution.
Prepare purchase requisition requests in relation to the detailed Parts lists
Maintain and improve products, processes and services to ensure consistent quality of data used to accomplish engineering tasks (includes Problem Reports/Root Cause Corrective Action)
Analyze products to verify conformance to design records and initiates updates per processes for documentation changes
Create status reporting on Activities,

What You’ll Need:


*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education & Experience:

Associate’s Degree in a related discipline combined with 6 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
