Flight Test Electrical Systems Specialist

Description:
DS is seeking a Flight Test Electrical Systems Specialist for an open position in Wichita, KS.

In your role, you will:

Define electrical system requirements and manage system suppliers to ensure they meet their technical obligations
Integrate electrical systems or modifications onto the airplane
Create and review engineering documentation for design changes, both in a design/certification and in a flight test environment
Provide system performance analysis to ensure proper operation as per the design specification
Support design/certification activity remotely & in a cross-functional team environment.
Write and review certification plans
Write development and certification test procedures and reports
Assist technicians in troubleshooting aircraft system problems
Write and analyze Problem Reports
Write and review Compliance Reports
Plot and analyze ground and flight test data
You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Or Equivalent degree) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in AC & DC electrical power systems design and certification OR a minimum of 12 years’ experience if no degree
You have previous experience with missionized equipment and provisions, either at an OEM or system supplier-level (preferred)
You must have a good working knowledge of FAA Part 25 certification requirements
You have a working knowledge 270Vdc electrical systems (preferred)
You must have experience of performing electrical load analysis
You have a working knowledge of System Safety practices (preferred)
