Advanced Production Operator

Description:

Advanced Production Operator
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Scottsdale, AZ

Responsibilities:
• Perform project tasks of moderately complex nature ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables
• Read and interpret moderately complex schematics and drawings
• Follow more advanced methods, techniques, and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, & cable harnessing on subassemblies and units
• Build or integrate hardware for prototypes, subassemblies or systems
• Perform more complex rework and refurbishment of hardware and systems
• Incorporate Master Change Order (MCO), Engineering Change Order (ECO), Variance Authorization (VA) and visual aids
• Perform more advanced fabrication and marking as well as
• Maintain and operates various equipment/tooling
• Perform inspection per documentation
• Complete appropriate quality paperwork as required (e.g. Corrective Action Request, Discrepant Material Report etc.)
• Accurately complete process paperwork and entering data into the applicable work order management system
• Support continuous improvement activities and participates in problem solving activities
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Support safety/housekeeping standards
• Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit and direct supervisor
• Receive little instruction on daily work; general instructions only on new assignments
• May conduct manufacturing inspections on processing line in accordance to quality specifications
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions

Qualifications:
• Precision solder skills
• Previous certifications to J-STD_001 Space Addendum, or NASA 8739 is preferred.
• Solid manufacturing process skills, knowledge of polarity, inspection criteria, and Bills of Material (BOM)
• Able to work unsupervised and to accurately use manufacturing work order application
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Flexbile, adaptable, and works effectively on any size work team
• Solid computer skills and knowledge measuring/test equipment and math
• Able to use various computer software applications to analyze and manage data
• Able to interpret more advanced documents, work instruction, and schematics
• Solid knowledge of configuration control procedures applicable to the assigned work/area
• Able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds

*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
