NDT Inspector - 18 month contract NY area

Description:
Keltia Design Inc. is a technical services company providing training, engineering design, and a broad range of recruiting services to customers in the Aerospace industry on a permanent and contractual basis.

Our Client is seeking an NDT Inspector.

Job Outline:
Performs penetrant inspection on aircraft parts or components to meet customer and internal processing requirements. Assures product quality by utilizing a specialized combination of skill, knowledge, interpretation, attention to detail, communication, and technical ability.
Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle.
• Assures product quality and manufacturing accuracy by properly interpreting NDT inspection results.
• Able to perform all phases of Liquid Penetrant inspections.
• Maintains product quality documentation by keeping accurate records and files. Maintains process control and equipment specifications
• Ensures that inspections and equipment conform to standards by correctly reading blueprints and applicable specifications.
• Must have current or recent level 2 Penetrant certification IAW NAS 410
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience. Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.
• Five (5) years in a Non-Destructive testing environment; Quality Assurance experience preferred. Must have experience, training, and current or recent level 2 certification in NDT Penetrant method of inspection.
• Certification to Level II in Penetrant
• Be able to train and pass the required examinations concerning the NDT disciplines. Must be capable of maintaining level II certification in the certified method through competent inspections and continued understanding of processes.
• All candidates must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
