Quality Engineer Manager

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to fill an opening for a company in Renton, WA. Interested candidates should have at least 10 years experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or Supply Chain Management role, along with a strong knowledge of the manufacturing processes and aircraft component inspection.

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer Manager - Inspections
Perform supplier inspections for structural hardware, interior components and equipment.
Work closely with the Procurement Quality Assurance team and Engineering and Supply Chain Management to ensure that all procurements meet or exceed requirements.
Overseeing Supplier Assurance processes, including, supplier quality requirements, supplier classification designation and source selection evaluations.
Perform supplier quality audits for AS9100 and supplier assessments.
Evaluate and investigate all non-conformances or negative performance trends and failures, determine the root cause and implement any corrective or preventive actions.
Manage source inspection processes.

Requirements
Relevant College degree or Technical School degree.
10 plus years of experience in a Quality function.
Experience as an aerospace supplier Quality Engineer.
Hands on experience in inspection of aircraft components and assemblies as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Proficient in CATIA V5 and ENOVIA.
Familiar with root cause analysis and Lean management tools.
Experience with an aircraft certification program is a bonus.
