Real Estate Loan Processor - CA

• Fund and close loan applications for all mortgage loan products, from all loan origination channels
• Function as point of contact for internal and external questions relating to real estate loans
• Perform analysis of appraisal and title policy
• Follow-up on each loan with member and loan officer until the loan has been funded
• For assigned loans, process title opening, escrow, verification of documents and preparation of loan documents for submission to designated underwriters
• Process and follow-up on closing of assigned loan packages to include, but not limited to, document preparation and signing, funding and disbursement of proceeds, final auditing to confirm accuracy of finished product
• Request and review PMI approval
• Maintain a personal pipeline of member loans to assist with member follow up, status tracking and resource allocation
• Track and analyze daily origination and weekly processing of assigned loans to ensure efficiency and timely processing that meets the Credit Union’s service goals
• Follow-up regularly with member on loan status until completion
• Timely and accurate completion of all documents including, but not limited to, Conversation Log, Beneficiary Demand, Deed of Trust, Deeds of Transfer, and Loan Processing/Approval Transmittals
• Participate in internal or external audits of loan files, as needed
• Order related services, as required for each individual file
• Facilitate in file set-up for impound accounts, as required, for each individual file
• Forward file for file review/document retention and imaging preparation
• Process end-of-day balancing
• Participate in various educational workshops/seminars to increase knowledge within lending
• Assist members by cross-selling other credit union products and services
• Provide support in various areas as needed
Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Location: Gardena, CA 90248.

• Four years’ experience within a financial institution, preferably in a lending environment.
• Effective communication skills and exceptional member relation skills.
• Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and communication skills.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Windows with particular emphasis on loan origination system, Microsoft Office and core system.
• Working knowledge of secondary market guidelines.
• Obtaining position is contingent upon passing a credit check and maintaining position is contingent upon successful completion of NMLS registration.

Requires a high school graduate or GED from an accredited institution.
