Human Resources Generalist

Description:

Shift: M-F 8-4:30

Summary: HR Generalist/Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing human resources leadership and administrative support including; recruiting, benefits administration, reporting, workers' compensation administration, and performance management by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Serves as the lead on all recruiting functions including tracking requisitions, posting, recruiting, hiring, and reporting.*

Manages the Benetrac system in Paychex.*

Serves as key contact with benefit administrators / handles open enrollment & special enrollment.*

Coordinates, schedules and presents in new hire orientations.*

Manages and facilitates open benefit enrollments at Brenner in coordination with the broker and the human resources team.*

Administrative duties as assigned by Management.

Enters and manages all workers' compensation claims / coordinates medical care.*

Tracks and manages claims with the workers' compensation adjusters.*

Provides & coordinates information for month end reporting and metrics & presents at Management Meetings.*

Maintains the OSHA 300 log.*

Handles year end reporting.*

Conducts exit interviews/paperwork.*

Prepares correspondence within the Human Resources Department including but not limited to offer letters, termination letters, and unemployment correspondence.*

Enters new hire information include EEO in Paychex and ERP System (AX).*

Payroll & all aspects of payroll.*

Approves all times & transfers accordingly to reports & Payroll.*

Manages the FMLA process including tracking and communication with all involved.*

Provides leadership and coaches supervisor on corrective action, performance management, and other employee relations issues.*

Other duties as requested/assigned.*

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Paychex Flex-payroll, Paychex Flex-human resources systems, Microsoft AX.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
