Quality Engineer

AKKA MBtech is searching for a Quality Engineer to join our exclusive client in Vance. This is a 15 month contract opportunity to join our one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world!

Job Description:
  • Determine repair needs when it comes to retrofit campaigns or general repairs.
  • Create process flow concepts recommendations and present these to the department E4 and other managers.
  • Understand best practice needs by leading department internal and external alignment meetings.
  • Plan and execute large rework campaigns considering manpower, part supply, and work instructions. Ensure smooth operations by engaging related departments. Align with Logistics on a regular basis.
  • Create Powerpoint, Excel, and MRS based tools to improve department throughput.
  • Perform financial processes as needed for contract manpower (ex. purchase requisitions and monthly service receipts).
  • Track and optimize chargeback processes and create management ready presentations with status overviews.
  • Communicate directly with management and Team Members to answer, resolve, or provide guidance for all potential issues/ questions related to the campaigns in question.
  • Regularly update accurate summaries of concerns to provide clear status communication to the organization, highlighting risks.
  • Drive the problem resolution process for process issues found. Track progress and timing of countermeasures.
  • Escalate slow resolution of topics to ensure issue resolution.
  • Support special project activities such as Automap vehicle trackers and logistics warehouse improvement.
  • Supervise operations to ensure compliance according to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. 

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or related area with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in Project Management
  • Excellent skills/experience in use of conventional PC programs such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent language, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent skills/experience with coordination of time-critical processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Highly motivated individual dedicated to customer satisfaction
  • Minimum intermediate level German language skills.
  • Working experience of CBFC, PLUS, and MRS system.
  • Basic knowledge of Visual Basic, Excel Macros, SAP, MS Access
