Electrical Engineer

Description:
****Candidates must be U.S. Citizens without Dual Citizenship****

Duties:
1. Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer who will be supporting integration and testing of electronic hardware.
2. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting troubleshooting, acceptance testing, and qualification testing of electronic circuits and systems used in an aerospace/defense application as well as troubleshooting of electronics and electronics systems.
3. This is a hands-on position for individuals with demonstrated analytical, test and troubleshooting skills.
4. Must have significant experience with implementation and use of all standard test equipment including but not limited to digital multimeters (DMM), ammeters/probes, oscilloscopes, lab power supplies, chart recorders, signal and function generators, Hi-Pot tester.

Working under general supervision:
60% - Troubleshooting and production floor support of hardware (missile electronics, missile electrical cabling, airborne support equipment, ground support equipment and test sets.
20% - Support acceptance and qualification testing of electronic boxes used in an aerospace/defense application.
10% - Reviews and generates analysis and tests of electrical/electronic components, sub-systems and systems.
10% - Work with the program technical leads, production operations, quality assurance, customer and the customer’s representatives to ensure that the hardware meets all requirements.

Skills:
Requirements:
1. Must have an understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals of both analog and digital electronics.
2. Must have experience with integration, and test of military electronic systems.
3. Ability to document efforts, write test procedures and reports and contribute to completion of milestones within specific projects.
4. Must be detail-oriented.
5. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
6. Good written and oral communication skills to be able to convey design ideas in a clear and concise manner.
7. This position may require occasional extra work hours as required to meet critical schedule milestones.
8. Significant travel is not expected.

Desired:
1. Experience with MIL-STD-461E.
2. RF circuits and systems troubleshooting.
3. Experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analyzer and network analyzers.
4. Experience with DIT-MCO test equipment.
5. Experience with National Instruments PXI test systems.
6. Experience integrating embedded systems.

Education:
1. Requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) and at least 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
