Electro-Mechanical Technician

Location: Pueblo, CO
Pay Rate: DOE
Duration: 1 year contract
Shift: First
**MUST be a U.S. CITIZEN; NO DUAL CITIZENSHIP**

Job Description:
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and/or electromechanical.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work with instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Fabrication, assembly and test of complex mechanical and structural assemblies.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Education:
- Associate’s degree plus 6 years or more of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Additional specialized training and/or certification may be required for the specific job assignment.
- Extensive knowledge in specialized functions.
- A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with and understanding of, both general and specific aspects and the technical phases of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
- Frequently works on nonstandard complex tasks requiring the employment of numerous and varied techniques, methods and procedures.
- Conducts research and assists in investigational studies. In technical positions, may support the design and development of new or modified methods, equipment or systems.
- Minimal supervision required. Leads and mentors others; may assign work and schedule work flow.
- Errors are very difficult to detect and would normally require significant expenditures to resolve.
