CNC Programmer

Description:
Sterling Engineering is currently looking for a CNC Programmer for a major aerospace company in the Chicagoland area. This is an 18+ month contract position, per diem will be offered for this role. Candidates MUST have esprit programming experience as well as 5 axis.

10+ years CNC programming experience required, including:
o Horizontal Machining Centers (w/ 5th axis table) (i.e. Makino A81)
-OR-
o Multi-Axis Mill/Turn (i.e. Okuma Multus)
-AND-
o Experience programming in Esprit (preferred), Unigraphics, or DelCam
• Ability to select proper cutting tools for aluminum/stainless steel – required
• Knowledge of applicable work holding methods – required
• Hands on machining experience – desired
• Vericut experience – desired
• WinTool experience – desired
• GD&T and Blueprint knowledge – required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - required
• Ability to function as a team member – required
