JOB TITLE: Aviation Parts Clerk/ Tool Crib Attendant - PT 30 HOURS

LOCATION: Van Nuys, CA

PAY RATE: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.

Details:

    Contract 12 mos. - potential for extended term

    PART TIME - 30 HOURS A WEEK

    6 months contract to hire

    Night Shift

Summary:

This position requires a basic knowledge of purchasing and inventory control with an ability to adapt with changing priorities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to procurement, organization and distribution of parts and materials, receiving inspection, processing of cores and management of purchase orders.

Responsibilities:

    Source parts and materials for aircraft maintenance and inventory.

    Establish/maintain relationships with vendors to ensure a that we obtain the best pricing and highest quality service

    Provide quotes internally and externally while ensuring that profit margins are maintained

    Manage purchase orders to vendors and suppliers

    Monitor outside services to ensure on-time delivery

    Pick up and deliver parts and materials as needed

    Perform receiving inspection of parts and materials to ensure conformity with FAA regulations and customer requirements

    Process core returns to vendors

    Ensure conformity with FAA regulatory requirements (Calibration, certification, shelf life, parts quarantine)

    Perform regular inventory, cycle counts and maintain min/max requirements

    Ensure accurate assignment and billing of parts to work orders

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of parts department

    Support after hours "On-Call" (AOG) support on a rotational basis as required

    Flexible schedule as required to meet the demand of the business

Required Skills:

    High School Diploma required

    Knowledge of corporate aircraft parts is a plus

    Aviation buyer, inventory or material control experience is a plus

    Experience in procurement, organization and distribution of parts and materials, receiving inspection, processing of cores and management of purchase orders.

    Provide quotes internally and externally while ensuring that profit margins are maintained

    Exp managing purchase orders to vendors and suppliers

    Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and aptitude to learn customized company software programs

    Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently or within a team

    Strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to self-motivate, handle multiple tasks, meet established targets

Desired Skills:

    Knowledge of Aircraft parts is a plus

    Experience in material control or tool crib is preferred

    Will consider somone with auto parts store experience if they have a great attitude
