Our client is currently seeking Level 4 Electrical Engineers to become part of the Engineering Maintenance and Modifications team in Long Beach, California. Electrical Engineers work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements. Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews. Provides engineering design disposition on everything from McDonald Douglas MD series airplanes to the latest Boeing 777X aircraft.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
    Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Works under minimal direction. Analyzes and translates requirements into system hardware designs and interface specifications. Review supplier technical data to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems and provides support over the entire product lifecycle.

Analytical Skills (Technical)
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.

Certification & Qualification
Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures (e.g. DO-160 and D6 requirements), including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance.
Knowledge of Electrical and/or Environmental qualification test procedures is a plus.

Circuit Design
Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and packaging techniques.
Knowledge of requirements and considerations with respect to electrical/electronic design (e.g., wire harness design, grounding and shielding design techniques, lightning protection).

Hardware/Software Development
Ability to apply knowledge of database engines to the design of databases and reporting structures.
Ability to integrate hardware and software components into a functional system.
Knowledge of testing, usability practices.
Additional Sills:
Skills: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
