Duties:



** Looking for candidates with Liquid Propulsion Project Engineering experience **



** Level 3 candidates will have 3 to 6 years of experience. Level 4 candidates will have 7+ years of experience **





This role will work on the development, fabrication and test of liquid propellant propulsion engine systems. The Project Engineer will plan and perform propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management. Under general direction, you will implement design and analysis tasks, special studies, experiments, and hardware/test requirements. You shall also have the ability to successfully:



Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques
Conceive and plan projects involving conventional and the development of new methods to attain program objectives
Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas
Lead investigation activity if sufficient experience in investigation of tools and procedures has been demonstrated
Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals
Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments
May provide technical guidance to less senior project engineers and project support personnel
Skills:
65% - Support Engineering teams working on rocket engine development and production program tasks/problem resolution, etc. Coordinate engineering work; manage technical progress, risk, schedule, and cost as needed. This includes all technical aspects of programs including external suppliers, test, and verification support.



15% - Monitor technical progress and interface with Program Management, Aerojet Rocketdyne customers, and other Aerojet Rocketdyne functional organizations to understand and develop resolution to program technical issues.



10% - Provide technical consultation to Program Management and Business Development organizations for business development activities such as writing white papers or preparing and presenting technical briefings to customers.



5% - Support the technical lead on proposals to government customers or prime contractors for propulsion development or technology programs.



5% - Provide inputs to written and verbal status reports to Engineering lead, Aerojet/Rocketdyne Management, and provide input and leadership at product team meetings.

Education:
-Requires a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, and five (5) or more years of directly related experience.

-CAD knowledge is desirable.

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
