Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Windsor, CT 06095

Duration- Permanent

Shift- 8:00am to 5:00pm (Mon to Fri)

Qualifications:

Quality Engineer aims to ensure that the product or service an organization provides is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



The incumbent works in a repair shop environment and is regularly exposed to loud noise, airborne particles, large machinery and moving part. Required personal protection equipment is provided and by the company and is required when working in the shop: steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

%u2022 Bachelor%u2019s Degree in Engineering

%u2022 3 + years prior manufacturing experience, aerospace experience preferred.

%u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills

%u2022 Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills

%u2022 High attention to detail required

%u2022 Capable of producing detailed and accurate data

%u2022 Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge

%u2022 Advanced organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

PREFERRED SKILLS

%u2022 NAS 410 NDT Level III certification

%u2022 FAA 14CFR 21 or 145 experience

%u2022 Certificates in Lean or 6 sigma process improvement preferred

%u2022 Experience with gas turbine components desired.

%u2022 Product/Dimensional Engineering experience a plus.

%u2022 Demonstrated technical leadership capabilities.

%u2022 Five years working experience with OEM quality systems (GE, Rolls Royce, P&W, Honeywell, etc.) in a Nadcap accredited facility preferred

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

%u2022 Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization

%u2022 Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company%u2019s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements

%u2022 Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products

%u2022 Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers

%u2022 Implementation of Nadcap compliant systems leading to Nadcap accreditation

%u2022 Considering the application of environmental and health and safety standards

%u2022 Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff

%u2022 Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures

%u2022 Liaising with customers%u2019 auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers%u2019 specifications

%u2022 Establishing standards of service for customers or clients

%u2022 Preparing clear explanatory documents such as customers%u2019 charters

%u2022 Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports

%u2022 New Product Introduction support, including preparation as AS9102 FAIR%u2019s
