Material Program Manager

Description:
** Looking for a candidate with a strong background in aerospace procurement/supply chain, project management, earned value analysis with strong people skills. Commodity focus is in machined parts and electronics. Able to travel nationally at a moments notice with ability to create and present status reports to company leadership. **

Duties:
-The Material Program Manager Specialist will be responsible for managing the performance of suppliers supporting various Programs.
-This candidate will interface with procurement and the engineering community to drive resolution of technical, schedule, and administrative material issues.
-The candidate will be responsible for effectively identifying supplier delivery issues, developing performance improvement strategies, and leading the implementation to support program needs and timely material delivery.
-This position requires frequent travel to various suppliers across the country supporting company Programs.
-This candidate will utilize their background and expertise to communicate between team members, customer counterparts, and suppliers, to provide assurance that the hardware is compliant to purchase order requirements.
-Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for developing strategic plans to manage the performance of the supplier and integrating the aforementioned team members to successfully execute the plan.
-The candidate should have a minimum basic understanding of typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, NDT, etc) and how they are applied to the hardware being manufactured.

60% - Manage supplier quality and delivery performance, identify delivery issues and coordinate solutions with suppliers, procurement, and engineering. Lead all reviews with suppliers.
30% - Drive corrective and preventative action activity at the supplier, and provide corrective action support to manage timely and effective issue resolution and control.
10% - Act as primary SCMM (Supply Chain/Material Management) interface for customer and management meetings at supplier locations.


Skills:
-Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
-Must be willing and able to travel on a regular basis to support supplier performance and program office delivery requirements.
-Knowledge of Supply Chain practices, procedures and MRP/ERP systems expected.
-The candidate should have a minimum basic understanding of typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, NDT, etc) and how they are applied to the hardware being manufactured.
-This job will require extensive travel - up to 50% travel.
-Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems desired

Education:
-Requires a Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
