Description:
1st Shift opening (9/80 work schedule) for a Laser /Electro/Optical Technician who will be responsible for optical/laser assembly, alignment, test and calibration, along with data collection and analysis. In addition, performing rework on assemblies and systems in response to non-conformance issues.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Optical alignment of Electro/Optical laser based systems for military application.
- Follow written and verbal directions to setup optical alignment and test equipment
- Assess test set up and tooling effectiveness with regard to product testing and data collection
- Assemble/test product on a medium volume production environment and interface with engineers on special tests and qualification testing of new products.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of military-based electro/optical products.
- Experience in the assembly and alignment of lasers, of multiple wavelengths.
- Ability to use a variety of testing, measuring and optical equipment (oscilloscope, autocollimator, photo detectors, microscope alignment tools and etc.)
- Familiar with standard concepts, laser safety practices, and procedures related to cleanroom environment.
- Ability to comprehensively document assembly processes for use in the creation of Work Instructions
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an ITAR environment.
- High school diploma or GED/Associates Degree or trade school certification in a related technical discipline desired/Associate Degree in Laser/Electro Optical Technology a plus
