Description:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with the focus area of Software Quality. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

What to look forward to: As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to ensure all quality standards are met for our products and production equipment. You'll be responsible for the Quality of our software processes and products in development, integration, testing, configuration, anomaly tracking and resolution, and developing standardized quality acceptance criteria. Your technical responsibilities during planning, organizing, and conducting our projects involve the design and development of new evaluation and control processes utilizing review, analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques.
Must-haves:
Bachelor of Science degree in Software, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
Knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements
Experience in Software development and Software Quality techniques..
Ability to handle schedule pressures while maintaining high Quality standards
Practical knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary software development teams.
Experience with developing or executing software quality activities.
Experience with organizing and conducting audits (internal or external) to measure compliance against standards or process requirements.
Experience working on Scrum teams or with other Agile life cycle methodologies.
Preferred:
Experience with development of embedded software products.
Experience on teams that manage the disposition of software bugs, software enhancements, and other kinds of software changes requests, including documentation, tracking and resolution of these items.
Experience with software configuration management.
Experience with software or system testing, including developinf test plans, executing test procedures, and generating test reports.
Experience with safety or hazards analysis, risk ratings, risk mitigation strategies and/or risk control verification.
Experience with requirements tracing within software development projects, including requirements hierarchies, design elements, and verification events (e.g. tests).
Practical knowledge of software CMMI practices, maturity levels, and best practices.
Practical knowledge of aerospace software quality standards.
Experience with the following kinds of tools:
The Atlassian toolset, especially Jira.
Software change management and/or bug-tracking tools.
Software configuration management (version control) tools.
Database tools, including SQL.
Experience with software programming in languages such as C, C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, or Java.
Three (3) or more years of relevant experience, with at least one (1) year in roles related to software quality and/or software systems testing.
Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
This position may involve traditional or non-traditional work schedules. i.e. 1st, 2d, or 3d shifts, weekday and or weekend coverage by scheduled plan or by call in.
