Pipe Stress Engineer

Description:
• Essential duties include performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code.

• The stress work includes the modeling of the piping systems to verify piping flexibility, stability and qualification of equipment nozzle loads.

• Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost•

effective design.

• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.

• Candidate should also be able to provide designs for pipe supports.

B_a_si_c Qualifications:_

• BS degree in an engineering with a minimum of six years' experience.

• EIT or PE Registration

• Knowledge of ASME 831.1 and/or 831.3 piping codes.

• Prior experience using and pipe stress analysis program.

• Experience in fluid system stress analysis in industrial, nuclear, nuclear waste and/or defense facilities.

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.
