M&P (Material & Process) / Project Engineer

Job Description:
As M&P (Material & Process) / Project Engineer at Evacuation Solutions site, the successful candidate must be comfortable working with minimal guidance and have the ability to communicate training and instruction to the engineering Community. The engineer should be able to recommend materials and processes, write specifications, ensure compliance of materials with internal, customer, and environmental requirements, conduct failure investigations, write reports, develop and conduct test plans, and support the disposition of materials with quality questions. The position requires interfacing with internal and external customers as well as suppliers, strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, and safe lab working practices.

Additional typical M&P/Project Responsibilities may include:
• Collaborates with engineering staff to identify possible chemical or materials engineering related problems.
• Analyzes, researches, and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems.
• Performs material analyses that include, but are not limited to, failure analysis, for parts, systems and subsystems, and definition and requirement specifications.
• Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Execute tasks aligned with the engineering standard work tool.
• May be assigned limited responsibility for managing project obligations, such as management of technical documentation package for a product.
• Manages simple to moderately complex/sized projects including hardware design, testing and processing.
• Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for projects under his/her responsibility to ensure adherence to the established program plan, schedule, and budget.
• Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met.
• Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
Prior M&P experience preferred.
Mechanical/Aerospace experience preferred.
This individual should be considered a technical professional in the development and regulatory approval of aircraft systems.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and three years of prior relevant experience. Engineering degree required. Master's degree in Engineering preferred. In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
