Reliability engineer

Description:
MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE TO START.
Duration: 1 Year
Rate: $85.00/hr.
Work week: 9/80
ACTIVE SECRET clearance required to start.
Candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the areas of Reliability, Modeling, and Availability analysis efforts for developmental satellite programs. Applicant must have extensive background in probability and statistics used in performing Reliability analysis; extensive hands-on experience in conducting and managing Reliability.
Candidate will be able to guide / mentor employees performing the following tasks: failure rate/MTBF predictions, Reliability Allocations, modeling and simulations, Probability of Success, and Availability analysis. Candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of wide array of industry tools used to conduct Reliability analysis, ability to prepare and present briefings to senior leadership and external customers, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent skills with Microsoft tools and experience with multiple software analysis tools used in Reliability analysis.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and a minimum of 14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD, in core Probability and Statistics as used in Reliability analysis and activities; capable of obtaining a SCI/SSBI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Electrical, Aerospace, Mathematical, or Computer Science disciplines) and a minimum of 16 years of Reliability experience 16 years with a Master’s degree; 9 years with PhD, combining hands-on Reliability analysis and modeling skills for satellite hardware and systems. Currently holds an active SCI/SSBI clearance.
