Description
Seeking a Quality Engineer located in Miami, FL .

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Conducts tests, inspections, audits and validations to ensure process compliance with contract, KBR and customer requirements and specifications for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance and services.
-Reviews and conducts First Article Inspections (FAIs).
-Validates that certification/calibration for operators and special processes is current.
-Conducts source inspections, evaluations and/or surveillance of vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
-Uses and cares for inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
-Conducts sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
-Participates in root-cause-analysis.
-Conducts follow-up audits to review the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
-Collects and uses statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.
-Participates in design reviews to ensure inclusion of quality requirements.
-Provides activity and status reports to management.
-Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-Must be able to adequately read, speak, and perform data entry in English.
-Candidates must successfully complete and pass a Skills Checklist.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Ability to read, understand and interpret blue prints/ drawings and other technical documents that describe the requirements and applicable criteria. Ability to use most inspection tools, measuring and test equipment. Ability to read and understand policies, procedures and processes. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated technical knowledge, strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of Quality engineering practices applicable to the manufacture of Aerospace products including customer and industry standards. Must be able to interpret purchase orders, Aerospace engineering drawings, and industrial specifications, including demonstrated proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5). Must pass Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) test.

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS degree in a technical discipline (i.e., engineering, computer science, quality assurance) with 2 years of directly related experience or equivalent work experience In lieu of degree

MISC:
-Opportunity for contract-to-hire based on worker performance, worker attendance and dependability and client business needs.
Local driving only with some business travel as need.

Part-Time/First Shift
