Description:
Responsible, as an Avionics Systems Integrator, to perform various tasks related to the development, qualification, certification and in-service support of Avionics systems on Challenger aircrafts.

Responsible for supporting investigation for in service and manufacturing issues and performing root cause analysis of Avionics systems.

Participate in the Avionics Systems architecture design to meet Aircraft Design Requirements and Objectives.

Support the Bombardier Flight Test Center in development and certification tests; witnessing of tests may be required.

Support the Final Assembly Line and In Service Aircraft for any development issues.

Manage, review and approve the deliverables of the Avionics System Suppliers.

Work with other functions & disciplines of the Challenger program to provide required information and also to collect required data to allow the Avionics design, development & certification effort to progress.

Support other departments such as Production, Customer Support, Program Office and Product Planning.

Participate in meetings and design reviews with Avionics System Suppliers and certification authorities.

Be able to travel is a must.

University degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, or Aerospace Engineering. with at least five (5) years of relevant experience with the design, development, integration and certification of Avionics systems.

Good knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft.

Must have a good knowledge of RTCA documents DO-178 and DO-160.

Must be familiar with part FAR25/525 certification process and with the ARP4754 standard.

Have an experience with civil aircraft and airworthiness authorities.

Are proficient with the use of Microsoft Office software tools to produce presentation and reports.

Have the ability to work well in a team environment.

Have strong communication skills (written and spoken).

The Test Systems Development Engineer will be responsible for test station software development including: planning, requirements, architecture, software design and development (e.g. TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, VisualStudio), validation, verification and release. Specifically, workers that directly or indirectly support services that are invoiced to Client through one of several contractual arrangements (e.g., time/materials, statement of work, purchase agreement, direct labor).



Bachelor's Degree – preferably in Computer Engineering or Electrical engineering

5 + years of test experience in complex electronics

Wire Design & Install Engr 4

Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL
Duration: 12 months

Job Description:
Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets. Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Works under minimal direction.

Familiarity with wire harness design and electronic unit placement for aerospace applications a must. Unigraphics NX CAD experience required.

Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
