Job Duties:

• Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight
• Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests
• In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
• Act as the Propulsion System focal point for the Propulsion System Integrity Plan
• Coordinate in-flight and post-flight data requirements for engine health monitoring
• Coordinate data flow from the engine to the Vehicle Management System (VMS), including Functional ICD development with the engine supplier
• Support display development and implementation of engine warnings, cautions, and advisories
• Support engine/VMS integration test planning and execution
• Develop engine and exhaust system component life tracking process flows in cooperation with engine supplier and the airframe structural integrity program team
• Create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership and government customer
• Effectively work with the Propulsion Technical Lead

Basic Qualifications:

• Propulsion System Integration - the individual must be a knowledgeable engine integration engineer
• 5 Years’ with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years’ with Masters; 0 Years’ with PhD
• CAD experience
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and/or SSBI to be considered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with Engine System Integrity Program of PSIP
• CPLM experience
• NX CAD Experience

Seeking a Design Engineer for an opening in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Design Engineer will work closely with Design Engineering, Certification, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

-Define and design the product under the responsibility of the Project Engineer/Engineering Manager/Program.
-Can get the functional lead of Design Engineer under the supervision of his/her Manager.
-Be responsible of establishment of the whole definition documentary.

Establish and develop the product definition justification using specific design tools for his/her own work and part of his/her perimeter (CAD, mechanical calculation tools, etc. ...). Some specific tools may be subject specialization of some Design Engineer (eg Tool routing specific cable, ...).
Communicate to the industrialization on time the necessary information to integrate in the ERP.

This position is responsible for the preparation of engine component designs and associated engineering in support of prototype engine testing. The position is also responsible for assembly work instructions and related build support. A candidate for this position should have extensive experience (15+ years) in the design of engine castings, cylinder heads, and the associated analysis used to validate the design of such parts. Must have 15 years' experience with ProE/Creo.

The following duties will be performed:
- Design concept and prototype cylinder heads, valve trains, intake and exhaust manifolds for advanced engine development work.
- Use independent engineering analysis and judgment in the execution of designs.
- Prepare CAD models appropriate for more detailed analysis as necessary (i.e. computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA), conjugate heat transfer analysis (CHT), and multi body systems analysis (MBS))
- Collaborate with analysis experts as necessary to prepare, modify and update designs to meet functional requirements.
- Prepare for and hold design reviews of new prototype components and systems.
- Document all design activity with CAD models, design drawings, analysis results, and design review presentation materials.
- Update prototype CAD work into client PLM system.
- Provide information and visit prototype component suppliers as necessary.
The above duties are complex and require the theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge.
