The mining autonomy program is a technology development supporting customer equipment automation. The staffing requirement is for a Software Engineer with background in autonomy, artificial intelligence or similar technologies.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory
BS Degree in engineering, applied mathematics, physics, robotic systems, artificial intelligence or closely related technical field. Responsibilities/requirements include: Very strong grasp of software & robotics architecture concepts (experience with multiple paradigms, familiar with common patterns, etc.) and a strong algorithms/data structures background. * Significant software development experience using C++ in an object oriented design * Experience with collaborative autonomy and/or collaboration of multiple agents * Experience writing planning software for resources or operations * Background in high-performance computing (ideally CUDA) -- embedded HPC especially desired * Robot Operating System knowledge * Experience with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms * Demonstrated history of building prototypes. * Comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment
