Flight Control Engineer

Description:
We are currently seeking a for an experienced Flight Control Engineer to fill an opening for an aerospace company located in Renton, WA. Interested candidates should have experience with Verification and Validation as well as aircraft level requirements for flight controls systems.

Responsibilities of the Flight Control Engineer

System design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing, aircraft flight test and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
Author flight test and ground test specifications for Flight Controls Systems.
Analyze test data and evaluate system operation.
Perform clean sheet component layouts for Flight Control Systems in support of schematic architecture.
Prepare test reports.
Evaluate requirements for traceability, correctness, and completeness.
Provide analysis and input as required to verify compliance with ARP4754A and DO178C.
Initiate and validate improvements to the design and documentation of the Flight Control System
Ensure all schedule and cost objectives are meet as described.


Requirements

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics Or Chemistry.
7 plus years of experience with flight controls in terms of both software and hardware.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Expert knowledge of ARP 4754 and DO178C.
DER, UM, DAD Certification active or previous is highly preferred.
