Position Purpose:

Seeking a Design Engineer for an opening in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Design Engineer will work closely with Design Engineering, Certification, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

-Define and design the product under the responsibility of the Project Engineer/Engineering Manager/Program.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for electric distribution system design for the Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) Engineering, the LVD Engineering Technician will design projects as approved through the LVD Planning department, and as required for new business approved through the client Management department.

LVD Planning includes distribution circuit System Owners, and CEM includes customer Project Coordinators. These are the two main internal clients of the LVD Engineering and Design department. Designs flow to Scheduling (and then to Field Construction) for execution in partnership with LVD Planning and CEM.

Key Responsibilities in this area include:
- Design electric distribution systems for customer relocation, capacity projects, failures or reliability improvement projects
- Design various new business projects, including line extensions (primary, secondary) and services of various degrees of difficulty, and customer types (residential, commercial, industrial, developments)
- Design in a CAD system
- Identify other pole attachments
- Negotiate with customers and obtaining easements (or work with the Right of Way department)
- Work with government entities for permits (or work with the Permitting department)
- Track projects in spreadsheets and/or databases
- Create projects and/or orders and order materials in SAP

This position is located at our Poway, California location, supporting test and evaluation (T&E) and systems engineering activities on GA-ASI aircraft and ground control stations. The candidate will be interested in a fast-paced aviation environment, which still allows for a reasonable work/life balance.

This position is responsible for testing and qualifying performance on unmanned aerial vehicle systems, as well as handling some of the typical roles performed by a Systems Engineer. As a member of this team, the candidate will support various programs from concept design through production aircraft test and qualification efforts. The candidate will create and review system design requirements, participate in software regression testing, develop flight performance scenarios, and pass/ fail criteria in the evaluation of aircraft, ground control stations and support equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Entry level candidate will hit the ground running and quickly learn the principles of GA-ASI products and processes
• Perform Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities under minimal supervision; will determine and develop various approaches to achieve T&E goals and help guide the completion of test activities
• Act as a test engineer during SIL, ground, and flight operations; test duties include system level T&E of hardware and software with emphasis placed on resource planning, conducting the required tests, and participating in technical test reviews
• Communicate clearly and in writing all facets of the system test program to include test plans, procedures and reports; may work with government aircrew and also be responsible for conducting pre-flight briefings and post-flight debriefings

Job Qualifications

• Previous flight test engineer with a qualification to perform tests for a military organization including prior Department of Defense (DOD) Developmental Test (DT) or Operational Test (OT) experience is highly desired

Welding Manufacturing Engineers - Sunnyvale, CA

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is currently hiring Welding Manufacturing Engineers for open positions in Sunnyvale, California.

Note: All candidates must have had secret security clearance in the last five years.

Job Duties:

• This position provides technical direction and support for Operations in areas of welding, fabrication and heat treat
• Requires the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, improve existing manufacturing processes, and develop new processes, to include tooling and fixtures
• Qualify welding procedures, prepare engineering documentation and instructions to support shop fabrications per industrial and military standards
• The candidate must have an understanding of weld inspection and processes to assist shop personnel in the interpretation and implementation requirements
• Duties include developing instructional material for the training and certification of welding and fabrication personnel
• Provide input to Design Engineering to ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturing and meet all requirements of the contract welding specifications
• Support estimating activities for new or existing products as required and work with suppliers to resolve problems and meet incoming material and fabrication requirements

Qualifications:

• Related Degree is strongly preferred, but not required
• Looking for actual experience in the discipline of gear machining (grinding and hobbing); someone who has experience with the gear machining equipment and processes
• Direct job experience relating to welding engineering and manufacturing of heavy fabrication products a huge plus
