Principal Software Engineer - 6897131

Description:
The candidate will be involved with full-lifecycle software engineering and development of Specialized Test Equipment (STE) software for various RF systems and sensors. This includes planning, requirements development, design, CUT, integration, and testing of application-level and embedded STE software.

Required Skills: • 8+ years of technical experience in software engineering development. • Experience with Real-time operating systems such as VxWorks and/or INTEGRITY • Experience with low-level embedded device drivers and/or board support packages (BSP) • Strong ability to debug software and troubleshoot hardware issues. • Strong C/C++ experience. • Experience with one or more scripting languages; such as Python or Perl. • Experience with NI LabWindows CVI and/or NI TestStand. • Experience with Matlab. • Experience with GPIB, VISA, SCPI, 1553, VME, and/or VXI. • Experience with test equipment such as DMM, network analyzer, signal generator, power supply, power meter, spectrum analyzer, etc. • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. • Ability to operate with limited supervision, with extensive latitude for independent judgment. • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile. Desired Skills: • Understanding of RF communication concepts and IQ data processing. • Ability to read timing diagrams • Ability to read schematics • Experience with GUI programming. • Experience with ATEasy. • Experience in ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS. • Familiarity with Coverity. • Experience or desire to lead a small team of 1-4 engineers. Required Education: • BS/BA in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree
