Summary:

Hiring for MRO general mechanics, avionics, structures, leads and inspectors.

Performs routine final component installation and verification, as well as, systems operational functional validation testing.

Performs rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions for delivery.

Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

Inspects pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components.

Conducts pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification actions.

Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.

Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.

Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Required Skills:

A&P required for General mechanics - need 8 techs (pay is $27/hr)

Avionics - need 2 techs (pay is $27/hr)

Structures/Sheet Metal - need 5 (pay is $27/hr)

Lead - need 1 ($28/hr)

Description :Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures. Functional test and correct, fit form and function of assemblies and components.1. Use shop mathematics and precision measuring and or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional test assemblies andcomponents.3. Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.4. Verify work performed is per work instructions and meets process and/or engineering specification. Identify discrepancies found per applicable procedure.5. Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.6. Sub-Assembly - Assemble parts to make sub assemblies using templates, jigs, and fixtures
Assembly / Installation Structures - Assemble structural parts, assemblies, and skins to make larger assemblies
Assembly / Installation Doors - Pre- assemble, trim, fit , rig , seal, align, and adjust aircraft door systems
Integral Fuel Cell - Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and wing section components
Inspection - Inspect and document non conformances on final assemblies, subassemblies, systems, and installations
Verifies dimensions of parts using both mechanical and electronic measurement tools and, relative to these inspection duties, initiate and document corrective action for programming issues and other problems.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Follows general instructions, reads and interprets complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts as required using manual and CNC machines. Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry. Assists the team in resolving issues and completing job responsibilities.

Numerical Control Programming
Knowledge of material removal (e.g. metal machining, composite trimming) and material build up (e.g. composites lay-up) to the Numerical Control (NC) programming lifecycle for complex aerospace hardware. Ability to plan, create, validate, and document machine control data (MCD).

Polymers & Composite Materials
Knowledge of polymers and composite materials (such as carbon, fiberglass, aramid, adhesives, thermoset/thermoplastic resins).

Perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions for delivery.

Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

Inspects pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components.

Conducts pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification actions.

Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.

Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

Summary:

Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete the bonding cycle.

May perform complicated rework or repair.

May monitor and verify quality in accordance with controlled procedures.

The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including the following: Utilize lay-up tools, which include both optical and hard tools, in the fabrication of composite and metal assemblies.

Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents, verbal and electronic information.

Use shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments to complete work assignments.

Must verify work performed is per work instruction and meets process and/or engineering specification. Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.

Use and control of solvents and cleaning solutions in the preparation of details, tools, and assemblies for bonding and paint per established procedures.

Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties.

Routinely move product within the immediate manufacturing work area, including across-isle, using shop assigned equipment as required and complete transactions necessary to move product to the next operation.

On an exception basis,moves product to the next operation within a building.

Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting other employees.

Trains to become MVP qualified.

In addition, each employee may be asked, on occasion, to complete other duties and responsibilities as required by leadership.

Training and certification will be provided for the additional work when required.

Required Skills:

2-5 years of experience in composites.

PDS TECH is looking for 2 RF Test Tech’s for our Defense client in Torrance, CA.
The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience in product development, manufacturing, electronics, and mechanical assembly.
The role is critical to success of our client’s hardware and will be responsible for RF circuit board testing. 
This position will also be flexible and support electro-mechanical assembly and harness building as required.

Duties:

• Understands, plans, and executes testing and troubleshooting activities to produce a prototype, MIL-STD understanding desired
• Assembles LRU and element array with direction from Engineers
• Utilizes standard laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, voltmeters, and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functions
• Troubleshoots equipment using standard documentation packages including assembly drawings and schematics
• Works with various levels of the system (from the board and component level to the LRU, to the system level) to identify and resolve performance problems
• Looking for an individual to be a capable RF technician (or have extensive understanding of other types of system testing), while also being proficient at electromechnical assembly and soldering. 

• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly
• Test Experience--RF preferred
• Testing and troubleshooting skills with the capability of defining and configuring standard and special test equipment to perform tests at the circuit card, LRU or system level
• Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment
• Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety elements, especially related to RF testing
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
• US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident

• Associates Degree in technical field or equivalent trade school or military training.
• 5 years of related experience
• Soldering certification and experience soldering cables and harnesses (circuit boards come pre-assembled)
