Systems Safety Engineer

Description:
****MUST be a U.S. Citizen****
****MUST have an Active Secret Clearance or to have had one within the last two (2) years. Interim Secret would be accepted****

Job Description:
1. System safety engineer for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.
2. Responsibilities include safety hazard identification for designs and changes to the Air System, hazard analysis, hazard mitigation including assignment of safety requirements to subsystem/components, and oversight through hazard control verification.
3. Perform contractual efforts for the system safety team to meet deadlines with high technical quality.
4. Coordinate and collaborate with internal safety team, product development teams, and customer entities.

Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a system safety engineer or software safety engineer
2. Good communication skills
3. F-35 aircraft design knowledge
4. Pilot certification
5. Functional Hazard Analysis
6. Weibull analysis
7. Statistics
8. MIL-STD-882
9. DO-178
10. DO-254

Education:
1. Level 3: BS+9-15 YRS or MS+7-13 YRS
