Summary:

    Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

• Demonstrated expertise in development of aerospace vehicle subsystems.
• Experience with CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred).
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person.

Desired Requirements
• Experience leading the development of aerospace systems, from conceptual design through production.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with system engineering processes, including but not limited to requirements development, system safety analysis (FHA, FTA, FMEA development), and reliability analysis.
• Experience with finite element analysis, multi-body dynamics analysis, and/or thermal analysis.
• Hands-on experience working with machine shops, specifying fasteners, bearings, and other hardware, integrating prototype aircraft, and conducting performance tests.

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Composites Manufacturing Engineer to take ownership of helping to manufacture a significant number of parts in a composite airframe and propulsion systems. Qualified candidates will be responsible for supporting the initial component builds and assembly of an Electric Vertical Take Off and Landing aircraft. Following components through their initial prototype phase all the way through assembly and vehicle integration.

Responsibilities:

    Work closely with aircraft structures design engineers to provide manufacturing input during initial design stages. Design tooling for lamination, trim, and assembly operations, as well as manufacturing aids to help with day-to-day production; this includes conceptualization, material selection, vendor sourcing and final inspection. Develop composite processing techniques utilizing new approaches, materials, and tooling methods. Develop ply patterns (splicing, overlaps, staggers, flat patterns, .dxf exports, etc.) using CATIA's Composite Workbench. Create laser ply projection files for composite lamination builds. Support shop floor operations by working with continuous support of shop floor operations and oversight & programming of composite related equipment (laser projectors, ply cutting table, autoclaves, ovens and other auxiliary equipment). Assist composite technicians and clearly communicating design expectations. Design, set-up, and dimensionally inspect/interrogate assembly fixturing to support locating and bonding & fastening of large, complex, primary structure. Investigate root cause of failures or quality issues; develop go-forward approach. Interface with fellow manufacturing engineers, structures design engineers, engineering management, operations, shop floor personnel, and external vendors.

Required Skills:

    Minimum of 4 years of professional industry experience. Undergraduate or graduate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or similar. Hands-on experience with composites materials and processing, exhibiting strong fabrication and assembly skills (demonstrated through past work or experience via a student team, internship, or personal project). Previous experience manufacturing a full vehicle including component and assembly levels with exposure to integration efforts. Understanding of composite part design, material properties, allowables and testing. Proficient with solid modeling and surfacing in 3D CAD Software. Strong communication and inter-personal skills.

Desired Skills:

    Experience using CATIA V5/V6 and 3DExperience Software Suite. Experience using CATIA's Composite Workbench or FiberSim NX. Experience programming and handling autoclaves & ovens, laser projection systems, ply cutters, laser trackers and other dimensional inspection equipment. We are seeking a Senior Level Facilities Electrical Engineer (Level 4) CONTRACTOR to join our Engineering and Technology (E&T) team within Facilities and Asset Management.
You will lead project teams in electrical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds. Leads others in engineering and facilitating the implementation of complex improvements in asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability; to specify configuration of new assets in order to support reliability programs. Participates on or leads cross-functional teams to integrate the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, technicians, outside consultants and government agencies.
Leads team to ensure accuracy of drawing archives/libraries. Oversees review of contractor redlines. Provides oversight to identify errors and documents construction changes to comply with regulatory requirements, facility standards, and record retention requirements.
Leads teams that manage and support complex construction projects by providing input on vendor selection; reviews contractor proposals; interfaces with government/regulatory agencies; monitors project progress and vendor/consultant performance.
Oversees preparation and presentation of project information to ensure compliance with applicable construction documents and jurisdictional requirements and to meet project objectives. Leads in the production or procurement of detailed design documents. Leads in translation of customer requirements. Plans, manages, and executes large or complex projects. Leads a team of stakeholders in the acquisition and modification of assets to enable the customer to achieve the defined business objectives in accordance with company and accounting policies.

Summary:

This role will manage the overall technical execution of launch vehicle system development. Lead a team for developing products that will transition to production, manage upgrades/improvements, ensure qualification for flight, and support launch operations. Our product-based team will support the early development and definition, lead the design of critical hardware, develop operational plans and procedures, support tooling and fabrication design, manage risks, and work with assembly and operations personnel to test and deliver our systems within schedule and budget.

Some of the areas you will contribute to include:

    Own the overall technical lifecycle of product from development to qualification and production Design authority for launch vehicle stage development and manufacturing process development Design & Analyze flight systems Deliver operational launch vehicle stage systems, on-time and on-budget Support program planning and execution including scope, scheduling, and resource allocation Manage technical risks and opportunities Identify risk, document, communicate, develop mitigation plans and drive to an acceptable level Communicate technical status, critical paths, challenges, and recommended solutions Provide technical oversight and authority for a range of hardware solutions Support requirement decomposition and allocation, systems engineering, technical design, analysis, and verification/validation Manage internal and external interfaces Oversee Issue tickets, drawing release, work orders, and test planning Own design to cost, producibility, and test for the system

Desired Skills:

    Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM degree 7+ years of experience in product development and leadership Experience with CAD, drawings, and GD&T Experience with designing parts and choosing the appropriate manufacturing method (including machining, welding, brazing, metal forming) Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering trades (mechanical, propulsion, fluid, thermodynamics, Electronics, avionics, software, production, etc.) Demonstrated Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly experience Desire to lead and manage teams on fast-paced hardware and flight projects Demonstrated technical expertise in at least 2 of the following areas: space qualified launch vehicles, propulsion systems, fluid/mechanical systems, avionics, manufacturing, systems engineering, integration, and/or test Ability to lead projects and make solid decisions with incomplete data

We are looking for someone who has experience in designing custom readout integrated circuits (ROICs) in state of the art image sensors. As ROIC Designer, you will help specify and design analog and digital integrated circuit designs for readout ICs.

Essential Functions:

The ROIC Designer will serve as technical expert and point of contact representing ROIC expertise across multiple integrated program teams. In this capacity, responsibilities will include capturing requirements in formal documentation, interfacing with sub-contract design vendors, and contributing to design reviews. You will provide technical input to the ROIC design team while directly contributing to the design effort.

As a key member on a growing team, you will be involved in all aspects of design including block-level design and simulation, chip-level architecture and verification, layout and physical verification, and silicon validation and characterization. The ideal candidate will have ROIC-specific design experience and a demonstrated willingness to mentor other engineers.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of nine (9) years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization. Proven ability to understand system-level performance requirement and reduce to ROIC chip-level requirements. Position Purpose:
Performs engineering work related to the design of tools and equipment used in the manufacture and support of company aircraft.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years drafting/design experience to include documented experience in a tool or machine shop environment. Tool Design experience required

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Under minimal supervision, design, tolerance and annotate tooling in 3D CAD environment that will be used in the manufacture and support of company aircraft.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing engineering and operations to determine optimal manufacturing procedures.
• Present design concepts to a design review team composed of representatives from manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, operations, safety and other Tool Design Engineers.
• Review and check Tool Designs, as required, to ensure conformance to specifications, intent, methods and procedures.
• Write complex procedures on use of tools.
• May act as Team Leader, assigning work tasks, maintaining work load schedules, and setting priorities to ensure timely completion of department goals and corporate objectives.

Additional Functions:
• Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements.
• Assist Tool shop as needed, during Periodic and Conformity Inspections.
• Assist in formulating Tool Design policies, procedures, and specifications as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
• Must possess excellent CAD/CATIA modeling skills, have a strong understanding of GD&T.
• Demonstrated knowledge of materials, material strengths, heat treat method and uses.
• Ability to conceptualize the following with little or no supervision. Assembly tooling, Composite tooling, Machine tooling, handling equipment, and scaffolding.
