Interior Design Engineer

Description:
• Interior design engineering for cabin & cockpit structures, components, and trim for aircraft.
• Serve as interface between design engineering, suppliers, and production departments.

Requirements:
• Engineering degree and minimum of 5 years applicable experience.
• CATIA V5 (or equivalent) 3D modeling and engineering drawing skills.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, fasteners, and standards, as well as basic principles of design engineering including material selection and optimization for manufacturability, cost, and weight.
• Experience with design and installation drawings for aerospace interior components such as cabinets, seats, interior panels, trim, cargo liners, tables, pocket doors, and lavatories.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Part 23 & 25 certification process and regulations.
• Experience with interior design (styling), ergonomics/human factors, fabrication methods, mockups, assembly techniques, component testing, and vendor interface.
