Description:
Job Description: This is an entry level Mechanical CAD position in the SAS Systems Verification Center, Antenna Products Department located in Dallas, Texas.
The Systems Verification Center (SVC) departments focuses on the design, development and deployment of Automated RF Test Systems. This includes mechanical fixtures, test systems and automated robotics handlers required to achieve precision handling, placement and speed.

The candidate will be responsible for the creation of CAD models and drawings. The candidate will work closely with a lead ME, EE and other staff members to develop and document solutions to complex requirements. The position will require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation and the ability to work in a team environment. The candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of these efforts by using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) systems and enterprise data and configuration management tools to prepare mechanical design layouts, detail and assembly drawings and related documentation in conformance to appropriate program and/or military specifications.

Required Skills:
• Experience with solid modelling practices and drawing creation
• Extensive experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances, ASME Y14.5
• Good communication
• Able to handle multi-tasking and work in a team based environment
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with other Raytheon personnel
• Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point
• Experience with documentation needed to support design, manufacturing and production
• Fundamental understanding of fabrication processes, capabilities, and limitations

Desired Skills:
• Experience with Configuration Management principals
• Experience with the Creo Parametric CAD tool
• Knowledge of MIL-DTL-31000, ASME Y14.24, AND ASME Y14.100
• Experience with the Drafting Standard, Mechanical Engineering Process for documentation preparation
• A general knowledge of metal fabrication tools and processes

Required Education:
Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting with 2 years of experience
