Position Overview: 

The Aircraft A&P Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, inspect sand performs maintenance on Customer aircraft. He / she also performs and documents all work done per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.

Job Duties:

Description:
STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Painters in Melbourne, Florida.

Position Overview:

The Aircraft Painter is in charge of aircraft and its sub-assemblies painting and sealing process including surface preparation, masking, and chemicals handling.  This may include limited duties of paint and sealant application.

Job Duties:
Prepare surfaces to be painted or sealed as requested by the working instructions using abrasives, solvents, and brushes.
May perform sealant application assuring compliance with technical and quality requirements.
May assist with application or installation of logos, symbols, or designs on painted surfaces, according to blueprint specifications, using measuring instruments, stencils, and patterns.
Ensures the use of appropriate technical references and tools in performing paint and sealing duties.
Perform cleaning and maintenance of all currently used painting or sealing equipment.
Sets up ladders, and scaffolding according to regulations and aircraft requirement.
Ensures all Federal and local environmental and OSHA/TOSHA regulations are complied with.
Basic Qualifications:
Generally 0-3 years of related and recent experience in aeronautical environment.
High School or GED familiar
Knowledge of preparation and painting of aircraft, support equipment, and allied components.
Safety procedures for Chemicals handling.
Knowledge of blueprints and painting diagrams.
Strong ability on paint spraying
Understand technical management and quality assurance procedures.
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.
Must be able to be respirator qualified.

Description:
STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics in Dallas, Texas.

Overview:

Contractors will be performing line maintenance on CRJ 900 AC at DFW. Techs will work out on the ramp, so ideal candidate would have experience on CRJ AC, experience with line MX and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Techs will be SIDA badged right away, so we need to make sure all candidates understand that they will not be able to stay if they have any FAA/DOT disqualifying violations in their past.

All mechanics must have an active A&P license.

Job Duties:
Perform required maintenance on company aircraft.
Ensure all tasks assigned are completed in accordance with manufacturer’s manuals and FAA accepted or approved data
Adheres to all applicable FARs and Company policies and procedures outlined in the General Procedures Manual (GPM) and the Company’s, FAA Approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program
Interpret aircraft technical manuals, and electrical drawings
Responsible for movement of aircraft in hangar and on ramp, including operation of tow-tractor

  • Understands how to read and interpret schematics, installation sheets, and bill of materials.

  • Experience working on failure probability models and risk mitigation plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design. Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements. Leads the development, maintenance or modification of system components'' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation. Performs and documents analyses. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals. Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design. Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Trains and coaches others. Works under minimal direction.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive space vehicle design, with inputs from other design disciplines and systems engineering. This position requires sound technical judgment, and the ability to rapidly make decisions that balance the overall space vehicle design. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and continually changing environment. This position will require strong team-work and communication skills to effectively work across multiple program teams, internal organizations and assist our programs as we grow our teams capabilities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and verify space vehicle mechanical design.
Analyze and verify mechanical performance of hardware components a vehicle.
Perform detailed system design and verification activities.
Support system level integration and validation.
Analyze system level performance.
Perform analyses and trades in support of a rapid prototype system.
Manage performance of critical suppliers to ensure subsystem compliance and delivery.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors of Science degree in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
9 years or more of experience in aircraft or spacecraft mechanical design.
3 years or more of experience in supplier technical evaluation and technical performance management.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience leading an integrated product multi-disciplinary team
Experience incorporating design requirements from a multi-disciplinary team into mechanical design.
Experience integrating design at spacecraft level
Experience working with spacecraft mechanical design
Experience in development, build and test of small and medium-sized space vehicles
Experience in dynamic rapid prototyping environment
Experience working on proprietary programs with a variety of Government entities in a classified environment

EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).

  • ME’s are accountable for product development, first article development, configuration changes, build process definition and implementation.
  • ME’s deliver measurable, metrics driven results in line with Operational & Program goals.
  • Maintain positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers
  • Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Utilize root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
  • Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring compliance with the Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)
  • 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of LEAN processes and practices
  • Working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000

Position Overview:

The Tool Crib Attendant ensures that tools and equipment are on hand and in good working order for use by production personnel. This position tracks the whereabouts of tooling and stores tooling in a neat and orderly manner. Prepares requisitions for new or replacement tooling, supplies, and equipment to ensure an appropriate level of all required items.

The Tool Crib Attendant ensures the ability of production personnel to provide high-quality, timely maintenance and customer service by having needed tooling, equipment, and supplies available to them, in good repair and on demand.

Job Duties & Requirements:
These are generally duties considered necessary to describe the principle functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as the detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent
Issues Personal Protective Equipment
Receiving and Check In deliveries from various vendors
Prepare materials for stocking
Assist plant personnel and contractors in location of materials
Maintain inventory, stock and issue requests for tooling
Conduct daily cycle count and reconciliations in case of errors
Keep tool crib organized for easy locating of parts and supplies
Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and other equipment in industrial establishment.
Issues tools and equipment to workers & maintains records of tools and equipment issued returned, manually or using computer.
Locates lost or misplaced tools and/or equipment.
Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and/or equipment, manually or using computer.
Inspects and measures tools and/or equipment for defects wear, visually or using micrometer, and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
Repairs, services, and lubricates tools equipment, using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray can.
Deliver tools or equipment to workers, manually or using hand truck.
Mark and identify tools equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool
Assist the Stock Room Procurement Technician with receiving and storing equipment, parts, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic Office, Excel and keyboarding skills
Organizational Skills
Previous tool crib experience in fast paced manufacturing environment a plus
Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
Must be mechanically inclined and be able to identify different kind of machine components.
Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc..)
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly and safely
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, climbing stairs, twisting and bending frequently (more than 4 hours of each activity).
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts.
Good communication skills, oral and written.

Umbilical Systems Designer Job duties:
