Aerospace Engineer - Air Systems

Description:
We are currently looking for an experienced Air System Engineer to fill an opening with an aerospace company in Renton, WA. Interested candidate should have strong knowledge of flight test operations and flight certification, including a familiarity with aircraft cabin temperature controls, low pressure cabin air distribution, avionics cooling, cabin pressurization, fire protection and anti-ice systems.

Responsibilities of the Air Systems Engineer
Support Flight Testing Activities, including reviewing test plans and preparation activities.
Help determine test specifications (based upon system architecture).
Attend Ground/Flight Test briefing and debriefings.
Participate in Test Readiness Reviews and ensure on-time engineering deliverables.
Generate developmental engineering drawings and instrumentation change requests as required.
Monitor live flight data, typically via telemetry, during flight test on aircraft.
Create and review Aircraft Restrictions and Aircraft Troubleshooting.
Coordinate with suppliers to review technical data, certification requirements and troubleshoot any issues with supplies.
Process, analyze, and draw conclusions from post flight data.
Identify non-conformances, quality escapes, etc. to create rejection tags.
Document flight test design problems for long term fix.
Generate and review appropriate limitations documentation.
Write flight test results reports.

Requirements
Four (4) years aerospace engineering experience in air systems, including experience in aircraft cabin temperature controls, low pressure cabin air distribution, avionics cooling, cabin pressurization, fire protection and anti-ice systems.
Four (4) year degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, or Instrumentation).
Solid leadership skills as well as people management skills.
Strong analytical skills, with an ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve and effectively and efficiently make decisions.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation) with both external and internal team.
Good project management skills, including the ability to take ownership for accomplishing assigned tasks. Results-oriented planner and delegator who ensures that goals are met. Able to set priorities and keep to projected schedules.
Comfortable and effective working in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
