Position Purpose:
The Sheet metal Technician Senior works under minimal supervision to safely lay-out, fabricate and install parts equipment and fabricated items on aircraft following established operating procedures. All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations. Mentor and train other Sheetmetal Technicians.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications.
2. Mentor and train Sheetmetal Technicians, as required. Review their work prior to sign off to ensure work complies with quality control standards.
3. Oversee projects or other technicians and assesses requirements of assigned tasks to procure required. materials and documentation for assigned tasks.
4. Use blueprints to cut and form plastics and follow standard operating procedures when using adhesives, sealants and solvents.
5. Utilizing tools as required. to shape and form complex angles and configurations according to blueprint specifications or written/verbal information.
6. Safely operate shop equipment such as: brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet metal functions. Use the proper hardware for various sheet metal applications.
7. Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies. Uses personal protective equipment as required. Ensures aircraft is protected (PTP).
8. Conduct monthly 5S audits, as required.
9. Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work.
10. Assist in developing initiatives to meet individual OGSM requirements, as required.
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Four (4) years of sheet metal and/or fabrication experience. Experience in aerospace industry preferred. Valid Driver’s License required.

Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position provides support to the Air Force’s Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) Technical Engineering Services Directorate (AFLCMC/EZ) in conducting an analysis of the known Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and cyber risks associated with positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) avionics onboard USAF aircraft. The engineer will contribute to AFLCMC/EZ’s effort to analyze NAVWAR and cyber risk associated with PNT subsystems for USAF aircraft. The engineer will work daily with Government employee PNT technical experts and cyber risk assessment specialists. Responsible for collaborating with Government employees to conduct NAVWAR and cyber risk analyses for PNT avionics subsystems. Responsible for the day-to-day execution of NAVWAR and cyber risk analysis and reporting activities under the oversight of AFLCMC/EZ Government employees. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

2. Background/Need
Group 108 works to understand air defense issues, in particular, air vehicle survivability, vulnerability of U.S. Air Force (USAF) aircraft to weapons systems, electronic countermeasures, and air surveillance for homeland defense. The focus is on understanding USAF and threat air defense systems through tests and measurements. Test activities include flight, field, and laboratory testing. We operate three airplanes, all highly instrumented and numerous ground systems as needed for test efforts. We also develop new hardware for testing and prototype systems as well as for instrumenting existing sensors. Group 108 requires for one full time Engineer to support the aircraft structural modification project.
3. Position Scope/Job Functions
Candidate will be responsible for the management of a multi-year transformation of a Gulfstream IV-SP into the next Airborne Sensor Test Bed (ASTB). The project entails major airframe modifications including fuselage and wing strengthening, the integration of under wing / centerline instrumentation pods, nose and tail electromagnetic and optical sensors, a sonobuoy or dropsonde release system and major electrical/data infrastructure. Candidate will participate in overseeing vendors performing the necessary aircraft modifications and ensuring that the work is properly executed, documented and delivered on schedule. Support will also include design and conduct of a flight test program to demonstrate compliance with modifications specifications and to obtain FAA approvals for continued operations. Related work will include establishment of a configuration management program and documentation archive to support the aircraft throughout its life.
4. Skills: Required

and Canada) is required. Anticipate approximately 50% travel to vendor locations.

Inspection & Quality

Description:
Supports, performs, and manages testing and control of raw materials and finished product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations as well as lean initiatives within manufacturing operations.

PDS is seeking a RS Interior Install Tech Sr for an open position in Savannah, GA.

The Interior Installation Technician Senior works under limited supervision to remove, install, and/or fabricate aircraft interiors, which may include items such as trim, carpet, sound proofing, light structure, cabinetry, panels and other accessories. All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations. Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Safely perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and panels). 2. Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications. 3. VG is seeking Materials Handler to actively facilitate the movement of materials, consumables, hazardous materials and other inventory items necessary to establish and operate the world's first private spaceline. The materials handler will use our ERP system - Ultramain to perform inventory tracking and movement of material, kitting of materials and consumables for operations, physical inventory, cycle counts, and will ensure the accuracy of all inventory movement activities within the warehouse. Your Mission
o Maintain accurate inventory, perform cycle counting and physical inventory of stock. o Responsible for inbound receiving and inspection activities. Accurately receive all inbound deliveries into ERP system; maintain records of all receipts in compliance with VG requirements.
o Verify all incoming documentation and applicable certifications are correct. For international inbound shipments ensure required customs paperwork is received at the time of receipt, audited and maintained for record. o Resolve issues which cause inbound shipment delays in customs or elsewhere. o For hazardous materials ensure required hazmat or MSDS documentation is correct at the time of receipt for all of the material entering and exiting the facility. Summary:

  • The Powertrain Virtual Analysis Engineer is responsible for performing durability and NVH assessment of transmission housing, mounting, transfer case, adapter, flex plate, torque converter, axles and other trans/ driveline components using virtual analysis tools.
  • The engineer will work closely with transmissions / driveline release groups, powertrain integration, suppliers, offshore CAE teams and other functional groups to proactively identify issues, develop solutions and meet program performance objectives and timings.
  • The engineer will follow established methodologies, identify future improvements in analysis capability and document new analysis procedures.
  • The chosen candidate will use commercial CAE tools such as, Hypermesh, Meshworks, Simlab, Abaqus and Nastran.
  • Responsible for working with electrified & hybrid powertrain (engines, transmission, battery & motor) engineers, including controls and calibration, to proactively drive ePT system level design and optimization through virtual analysis tools.
  • Responsible for developing 1D/2D/3D simulation models and control methodologies/processes from physical principles for high voltage and low voltage Lithium ion batteries (cells, modules, pack).  
  • The expected job responsibilities will include, but not limited to;


  1. Develop, test and correlate high-fidelity physics-based models for high/low voltage Lithium ion batteries for electrified and hybrid powertrains (equivalent circuit, electrochemical, coupled with thermal models etc.).
  2. Develop aging models for Lithium ion high voltage batteries.
  3. Develop model predictive controls (MPC) optimization methodologies for balancing performance, aging, and energy management.
  4. Drive design using Computer Aided Engineering tools (Matlab/Simulink, Ansys Fluent, Comsol, etc. ) to meet the component & system performance, efficiency, durability, and reliability.
  5. Provide components design direction, and control strategy development & optimization through System Integration.
  6. Execute advanced projects for new methodology and process development.
  7. Document procedures, and write technical/progress reports.
  8. Coordinate between different release groups, global simulation teams and suppliers to identify risk and communicate virtual engineering results.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Master of Science in Applied Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering, or Applied Mathematics field from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in automotive powertrain area.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with battery cell/pack simulations or experiments.
  • Deeper knowledge of one or more of the following automotive system areas; hybrid powertrains, electric motors, batteries, engines, transmissions, driveline, thermal systems, or controls.
  • Deep knowledge of optimization methods and control methods.
