Plant Design Senior Engineer - Pipe Support

Description:
Job Responsibilities
• Essential duties include the locating and designing supports in a 3D model for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.
• Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.
• Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost effective design.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• US Citizenship.
• Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.
• Prior experience using and pipe support structural analysis program.
• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
• Grade 25- BS degree in an engineering with a minimum of six years' experience.
• Grade 26-BS degree in an engineering with a minimum of nine years' experience.
• Experience in fluid system support design in industrial, nuclear, nuclear waste and/or defense facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• EIT or PE Registration.
• Previous DOD or DOE project experience.
• Prior experience using structural analysis programs.
• Prior experience with 3D modeling of pipe supports.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SmartPlant 3D.
