Description:
Key Duties:

  • Develop concepts for new piping systems and provide flow, flexibility, thermal, structural, or any other required analysis to support the proposed design.

  • Evaluate the analysis results for suitability relative to applicable codes and standards.

  • Provide engineering support to the appropriate craft workforce to facilitate maintenance and repair of existing systems.

  • Evaluate existing hardware for safety, security and potential for improvement.

  • Serve as the design point of contact or lead designer on larger, more complex projects.

  • Work with the project managers and project engineers to ensure that design input into cost, schedule, and other project-level decisions is accurate and complete.

Job Summary:

Effectively facilitate, champion and coordinate operations, maintenance and turnaround team’s involvement to ensure project operability and maintainability
Effectively champion and facilitate project value improving practices including safety in design, value engineering, constructability, operability and maintainability.
Facilitate and contribute to process safety management (PSM) process and procedures including management of change (MOC) and Process Hazards Analysis (PHA).
Solicit input from our client subject matter experts (SME’s) as required to ensure project compliance to the Refinery Engineering Practices (REP’s) and Refinery Engineering Practices (AREP’s). As needed, initiate and facilitate deviations.
Effectively facilitate, coordinate and document review meetings and technical proceedings

Required:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical or Petroleum
2. Experienced with mechanical and piping revamp work within oil refining or petrochemical environment
3. Experienced with mechanical fired heater revamp and repairs.
4. Five (5) or more years of oil refining or chemical experience

Precision Assembly Mechanic



In this position, you will disassemble, evaluate and assemble steel mill equipment upwards of 70,000 pounds, including large scale industrial gearboxes, mill stands, shears, straighteners, caster oscillators, mills mandrels, and levelers.



The Service Center has been designed to repair and service the majority of The company equipment installed in Melt Shops, and Rolling Mills that are worn, in the need of minor repair, have damaged parts, or need a complete overhaul.



Requirements:



· Disassemble, Inspect, Document, and Reassemble large industrial gearboxes, pendulum shears, mandrels, and other steel mill equipment.



· Be able to read and interpret all aspects of technical drawings and schematics. Identify key tolerances, fits and assembly positions.



· Inspect dimensions of equipment using micrometers.



· Able to utilize a grinder to grind space defined by micrometers.



· Must be able to use shop tools such as hydraulic presses, cutting touches, and basic hand tools.



· Cleaning of equipment to a very high standard.



· Understanding of overhead crane usage and rigging and decipher tolerances.



· Relevant steel industry experience is a major plus!

Description:
Nesco Resource is hiring a Welder for a prominent Manufacturing Company located in the Danbury, CT area.



Under general supervision, the welder/pipe fitter is responsible for assembling and installing piping systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Installs pipe for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating and industrial production and processing systems. He is also responsible for welding as it pertains to industrial burners, piping systems ranging from 1/2” to 12” and other fuel oil or steel plate assemblies.



Required Qualifications: Minimum education requirement: HS graduate or GED. Minimum 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing or industrial setting. Must be capable of interpreting blueprints, fabricating and welding to specifications. Must be able to perform job in safe manner and produce a quality product. Must successfully complete weld tests, which passes both visual and X-ray testing when needed. Must show qualification in welding per ASME Section IX in at least 3 welding methods when needed. (SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW) Must know various piping applications Must know how to assemble carbon and stainless weld pipe and screw pipe.
