The Propulsion System Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design, integration and qualification of a full authority digital engine control systems meeting program and customer requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• The Propulsion System Controls Engineer will be responsible for:
• Providing technical direction for propulsion system suppliers
• Developing system requirements, architectures, interfaces, performance specifications, plans/procedures, and schematics
• Supporting component, systems integration lab and flight test activities
• Coordinating with other integrated product teams, such as Integrated Vehicle Health Management, Avionics and Flight Controls, to define system interfaces and capabilities

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree is required. Major in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required
• Experience integrating engine control systems with aircraft avionics and flight control systems
• Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent written and oral communication skills, and PC skills.
• Experience with supplier management is preferred
• Experience mentoring engineers is preferred

Familiarity with the following is preferred:

• System engineering and configuration management processes. Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and SysML preferred
• Experience with the product development phase
• Cyber security applied to airborne systems
• System Architectures, such as Modular Open System Architecture, Open Architecture and Integrated Modular Avionics
• FAA, CFRs, Civil Certification and Military Qualification of software and airborne electronics hardware
• Generation of System Safety Assessments, Failure Hazard Analysis, Qualification/Certification plans and Test plans

Job Description

Aerospace Rotorcraft Flight Controls Engineer

You Will:
Flight Controls engineer is a multi-skilled technical person capable of providing expertise in conceptual design, development, integration, and verification and test algorithms for the Advanced Helicopter. This position will employ the skills above to assist in progressing overall Flight Controls system conceptual design readiness for a proposal response of the Advanced Helicopter program of record. The position requires coordination across system and program boundaries as the Flight Controls IPT representative to ensure alignment of air vehicle systems. This position will also develop Flight Control Systems content for the Advanced Helicopter program of record proposal related to all aspects of Flight Control Systems development, specifically hardware, software, control strategy, and verification, as well as, manage and provide status updates on the development, schedule, and risk associated with Flight Control System content readiness.

You’ll Need:

• At least 8 years of relevant Flight Control Systems experience with a focus in any of the following: hardware, software, systems integration, or control laws.
• Previous proposal experience is preferred
• Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent written and oral communication skills, and PC skills.
• RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761, 14 CFR Part 27 and Part 29 for commercial and military qualification and certification of aircraft systems, and multiple data protocols
• Experience with Enovia, DOORS, and Serena Dimensions
• Development of system requirements, architectures, and schematics.
• Experience with current industry software languages and practices
• This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree is required. Major in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.

Assembles, inspects, modifies and reworks developmental electronic subsystems, subunits, assemblies, components and harnesses and cables, used for experimental and preproduction purposes. Under engineering direction sets up and operates all types of equipment to fabricate and assemble complete flight, developmental and prototype microelectronic circuit assemblies. May set up and operate small bench microweld machines in laboratory areas. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Works from blueprints, schematics, samples lacking complete details or specific information, assembly drawings, sketches, oral and written instructions requiring the identification of all circuit symbols, wiring codes and electrical components.
Determines work sequence, positions, assembles and modifies developmental electronic devices such as radar synchronizers, computers and roll servo units in accordance with schematics, wiring diagrams or other specifications, using pre-drilled chassis and printed wiring boards. Routes and connects wires and cables in the proper manner so that parts, wires or cables are reasonably accessible for removal and replacement and are mechanically connected, soldered or welded according to prescribed standards. Fabricates and routes wire harnesses and cables on panels, modules and chassis. Uses appropriate technology to assure components assembled will not shift position. Fabricates thin or thick film substrates using all appropriate processes. Fabricates and assemble microminiature circuit parts using special resins, thermo compression die bonding, ultrasonic and parallel gap microwelding and microsoldering techniques.
Identifies and selects, as called out on schematic wiring diagrams, various electrical components of proper value or size by color code, coded label or other related identification characteristics. Identifies terminal connections for components as required.
Installs parts and components for proper rotation and polarity. Checks for proper continuity, workmanship and make capacitance and resistance measurements.
Assists in the development of revised or new methods, techniques and procedures. Makes oral and written reports as required.
Works efficiently and completes all task with little or no supervision, performs soldering on all type of standard and fine pitch components. Perform soldering on complex wire connectors with little or no supervision, Applies bonding staking and coating. Assists engineering in improving methods, processes and procedures.
Ascertains that all welds are satisfactory or removes components and rewelds.
Cleans equipment as required.
Meets necessary certifications as required.
Performs rework of the same nature and level of difficulty as described.
Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Preferred candidates will have circuit card solder assembly experience, leaded flat pack fine pitch and surface mount. IPC J-STD-001 Training and Certification preferred, but not required.

Job Description:

Performs avionics and electrical systems maintenance according to FCC, FAA and Company Policies and Regulations. Troubleshoots, tests, repairs and installs avionics components such as aircraft communication, navigation, radar and electronic instrument systems. Duties & Responsibilities:

ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLER

Description:
Displays knowledge of Electrical Theory and usage of NEC and NFPA 79 in the assembly of machines with AC and DC circuits. Reads engineering drawings to assemble, rebuild, and repair electrical components.  Sets up and operates a variety of power tools (such as drill press, band saw and stud welder), to assist in the assembly of machines and components. Works unsupervised and provides training and cross-training to other employees. Coordinates with engineering personnel, and makes changes as required to update print packages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Applies electronic theory and electrical testing procedures to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify electrical equipment.
Assembles electrical components, sub-assemblies, and systems according to engineering drawings.  Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other.  Mounts assembled components and attaches functional and cosmetic hardware such as caps, clamps and knobs.
Connects components and routes wires between individual components, using connectors, terminals, soldering and other wiring procedures.
Diagnoses malfunctioning electrical components using test equipment, computer, and engineering drawings. Test runs machines to ensure proper operation of components such as photo-eyes, limit switches and solenoid valves.  Tests for proper sequencing of machine operations. Assists R & D technicians and engineering in developing new equipment.
Sets up and operates a variety of hand tools such as drill press, saws, shear and break.  Operates tow motor, pallet jack, hoist, pipe bender, pipe threader, and overhead crane to aid in the safe handling of raw materials and fabricated parts.
Uses business system to enter time spent working on assemblies/sub-assemblies and to complete operations.
Uses PC to interface with programmable controllers and servo modules, transfer drive parameters and run diagnostics checks.  Must be able to manually load programs into electrical components.
Completes final inspection checklist and inspects equipment for quality. Assists Technical Service with in house testing and field installation of machinery.
Coordinates with engineering to ensure Engineering Change Requests are submitted.
Ensures that Engineering Change Orders are processed and assembled.
Responsible to meet ISO quality standards which require individuals to take responsibility for their own quality, verify their work is correct and then affix their signature to the appropriate documentation (i.e., drawing, checklist, etc.).
Assists other departments to optimize throughput.
 
Completion of a Vocational Diploma in an electrical-related field, or equivalent experience or training. Must be computer literate and capable of reading engineering drawings.  Must have tools required to perform daily routines. Chipton-Ross is seeking a Logistics Representative 3 located in Meridian, MS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Researches, identifies and resolves customer supply support system inventory discrepancies. Investigates total platform vehicle demand management, replenishment and electronic data systems. 4. Provide timely technical support on inactive parts, part number changes, part configuration, and superseded part issues.

5. Identify items that require funding over and above the purchase price (tooling issues, design issues, non-recurring costs, etc.). Identify the issue and provide options for resolution.

6. Play a key role assisting in identifying and expediting Boeing materials that create shortage situations including AOGs and AWP issues.

  • Strong experience with Automotive Software and protocol analyzers (Vector CAN Analyzer, INCA, off-board diagnostics and programming tools, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of diagnostic documentation standards (ODX, ODX-F, OTX, etc.)
  • Basic software programming skills (e.g. scripting languages)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills


Preferred qualifications:
