HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with engineering and/or manufacturing development of structural parts and assemblies utilizing composite materials.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce airframe structural configuration layouts and detail designs including preliminary sizing, joint layouts, interface boundary definitions of parts and assemblies employing metallic and composite materials.  
Create and maintain CAD solid models and drawings of installations, assembly and detail components that meet all requirements such as structural integrity, interface boundaries, weight and cost targets as directed by the project engineer. Coordinate with members of stress, manufacturing, procurement, quality control and other departments as required to mature the design from conception to production.  
Create documentation to support design decisions and to identify and resolve potential issues. Prepare detail design packages for review, check and release.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from an accredited university

Job Summary:

Under the direction of production management, the CNC Programmer will generate CAM code programs for a variety of CNC machines, Point drawings, and machine set ups. The programs generated will produce or repair precision aircraft parts using multiple types of CNC equipment, accurate measurement tools and portable coordinate measuring equipment.

Job Duties:

• Plans machining operation by generating CNC G&M code programs/point drawings and machine set-up sheets by studying work orders, engineering orthographic drawings, engineering work instructions, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters interpreting geometric Imperial, SI dimensions base on ANSI and ISO standards and tolerances (GD&T)

The Development Engineer will contribute to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and test of complex control hardware used on military, commercial and NASA vehicles and equipment. The products of Moog generally are unique for each customer. Therefore, most new applications require a special, tailored design, even though adaptation of existing designs always should be considered where appropriate. The Development Engineer will operate as part of a design/development team, which includes other Department engineers. The incumbent may coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.

In the early stages of a new program, the project team will consult with the customer, establish the problem statement, conceive of potential hardware solutions to the problem, often through extensive trade studies, and then create a successful technical proposal. This phase is critical in that it establishes the basis for future design, and for contract negotiations. Under the technical direction of



the team's lead Engineer, the Development Engineer will then contribute to the evolution of the conceptual design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing.

To be considered for the position of Development Engineer, a candidate should have a minimum of an MS Degree, preferably in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering. As an alternative, the candidate should have a BS Degree plus four years of experience in the development of mechanical devices or control systems. To fulfill the demands of design and development of new products the individual must show self-starting instincts, an aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly learn advanced design and/or analysis techniques. A basic knowledge of closed-loop control systems, mechanical hardware design, and good communication skills are also desirable.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

The Mechanical HVAC Engineer will produce moderately-complex technical designs and some analysis mechanical to new and existing facility related systems in support of ULA Atlas V, Delta IV and future Vulcan Launch Operations at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Florida. The successful candidate, as part of ULA’s Engineering and Infrastructure Team, shall be required to produce accurate and detailed design drawings as well as generate validating system analysis calculations. He/she will gather information, perform field walk-downs, and create or revise electronic CAD files. Projects typically involve implementations being performed by external Contractors, in accordance with construction documents.

The successful candidate should have at least 15 years of relevant experience in designing, building, modifying, testing and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Experience with chilled water and DX systems, ventilation and air distribution required. Engineer shall perform engineering thermodynamic, heat transfer and fluid/gas dynamic calculations. Apply knowledge of regulatory and certifying agency requirements to ensure product and/or service is in compliance. Apply knowledge of functional testing requirements to ensure product and/or service meets or exceeds customer expectations. Project support will also include generation of Statement of Work, Contractor contract documents for schedule integration, fabrication and installation phases. The successful candidate should be self-motivated and able to work productively without constant direct supervision. Essential Job Functions:

Position Purpose:
Under minimal supervision, perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications and processes. Responsible for tasks related to the development and deployment of systems, methodologies, standards and processes that result in the ability to create and manage high fidelity digital data for Company products. Perform tasks to ensure PLM systems integrity and manage all product configuration data and information throughout the products lifecycle. Provide support for the development of training courses for CAD and PLM Applications.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
1. Execute plans, according to schedules, for engineering assignments. 2. Responsible for engineering feasibility of CAD and PLM solutions for complex assignments or full project of minor complexity. 3. Coordinate activities for lower level engineering staff assigned to specific projects. 4. Actively work to improve daily processes, to ensure all CAD and PLM systems meet customer requirements. 5. Analyze user needs to determine engineering and product data requirements, CAD and PLM functional requirements, and perform analysis as well as process and data modeling to meet user needs. 6. Recognize discrepancies and/or problems with analysis, process mapping or system implementation results and work toward corrective action. 7. Tailor CAD and PLM applications functionality, to established requirements, policies and procedures. 8. Develop system queries and utilities to support users information researches 9. Assist in the testing and implementation of new deployment or revisions to the CAD and PLM systems. 10. Execute tasks for producing Product Structure and Engineering Bill of Material for use in production and QA. 11. Execute tasks for coordinating the release of product definition data, change management and product configuration management, including quality control and change reporting. 12. Ensure proper security, archiving and audibility of product releases. 13. Analyze, monitor and report business and system status metrics.

Additional Functions:
1. Provide training on new functionalities and upgrades. 2. Ensure compliance with FAA regulatory requirements for management and control of all type design data. 3. Maintain a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in a specific discipline and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of the company product. Other Requirements:
1. Experience with CAD and PDM tools (CATIA and ENOVIA LCA, VPM preferred). 2. Previous experience with digital pre-assembly of product components (aerospace preferred). 3. The project engineer must have experience with aircraft seat products. Will be responsible for the delivery of the engineering group work product and, shall be the engineering contact focal for all project communication from internal and external customers and deliverables, after contract award.
