Solidworks CAD Designer

Description:
Nesco Resource is seeking a Solidworks CAD Designer that has the ability to utilize the software to layout and design projects as assigned.



As a Solidworks CAD Designer you will be responsible for creating layouts & 3D models, creating 2 D detail drawings, assembly drawings, and sketches. 



Job Descriptions: 

  • Uses Solidworks computer aided design/drafting (CAD) software to develop 3D designs from sketches and prototypes.

  • Creates and revises 2D & 3D production drawings.

  • Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.

  • Sketches rough layout of designs and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and location of holes.

  • Utilizes knowledge of various woodworking tools, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.

  • Required to follow instructions to maintain design direction and intent.

  • Able to complete projects to meet deadline requirements.


Requirements:


  • Associates degree in Computer Aided Design/Drafting or similar Engineering related degree or equivalent experience/training preferred.

  • Solidworks and Auto CAD 2D and 3D modeling experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience required.

  • Maintains electronic files stored on company servers/vault.

  • Act as a Detailer to review project details with Design Engineer, Engineering Manager, and others as required.

  • Must have the ability to work remote or in the office.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
